Il-Barri Restaurant shows a beautiful creative application of translucent DuPont™ Corian® from the bar counter, wall-cladding and ceiling. The renovation project, was designed by Galea & Galea Architects, who transformed this restaurant found in the traditional village of Mgarr.
THE BAR COUNTER
The bar is fabricated using three types of materials. It includes a wood base, translucent and engraved DuPont™ Corian® Glacier-Ice for the facade and for the surface, glass which is surrounded by DuPont™ Corian® Deep Nocturne.
WALL-CLADDING
The wall-cladding is fabricated in 12mm translucent DuPont™ Corian® which includes two types of engraving. The panel includes back and front engraving, giving different light perspectives.
CUSTOM CEILING PANELS
The celing was fabricated using wood and thermoformed translucent DuPont™ Corian® strips.
